Celebrate North Carolina Archives Week
at the North Carolina State Archives

The Society of North Carolina Archivists is sponsoring its annual Archives Week celebration October 19-25th, 2009. The purpose of Archives Week is to celebrate the agencies and people responsible for maintaining and making available the archival and historical records of our nation, state, and communities. Although there is no fixed, nationally recognized date for Archives Week, many archival institutions offer events during October. This year's theme for North Carolina Archives Week is "Celebrating the North Carolina Record."

The Archives and Records Section will participate in this celebration with several events during the week. Section staff welcomes everyone to visit the Archives between October 19-25th to help us celebrate Archives Week!
