About this archive...for instructors
The State Archives of North Carolina created this archive in hopes of sharing newly developed material with the public - most notably North Carolina's educators and students. We value what you've contributed to our state's history and what you're making possible for its future.
About the lessons
The lesson plans in this archive pertain to citizens and events that have made an impact on North Carolina's history, and draw from the Archives' rich collection of original documents.
Each lesson is supported by:
- A student page, containing the links and images needed to complete each lesson's activities
- Downloadable PDF versions of lessons and related documents, available inside each lesson plan
- A listing of the NC DPI Standards met by each activity
